Movie project

We finally finished our project and here it is! I finsihed filming and editing all the scenes. I tried my best with the materials that was available to me and had lots of fun.

Thoughts after filming

Image
My group and I have finally finished the film. Overall after filming and editing this film I have learned many things. For example, i've learned what shots that I should be incorporated when filming. My group members camera person had recorded us from all sorts of angles so our movie gives different perspectives and does not appear boring to the viewers eye. Camera angles used in my film consisted of panning shots, over the shoulder, still, low angles, etc. After capturing all these angles I was able to edit them altogether. I made sure to record all the clips as long as possible to stretch it out while still making visibile and audible sense. This would save the film from falling short on time while still letting me able to have control over all the clips duration. I had cut clips and learned how to do so properly to do seemless transitions in between them. This part of editing was the most difficult and time consuming. The reason for this being, for each clip I had to review

Editing Was Tough!

Its time to finally edit. After gathering all the clips I was able to send them to my gmail and transfer them to my computer. I filmed this movie through my phone so transferring over the clips was not difficult. I decided to edit my movie using Adobe Premiere pro. The reason for this is because I have past experience with this program from past films such as my commercial and music video. It was a lot easier to navigate through this program overtime the more I used it speedening up the editing process. Firstly, I started off by importing all the clips into premiere pro and ordering them from beginning to end. Once this step was done, I was able to cut unnecessary time off the clips to get inbetween that 2 minute mark for the film. This took up most of my time as each clip contained over 15 to 30 seconds of footage that needed to be spliced down. I then had to line up all the clips so that there was still seemless transitions and it assure that it is not choppy. Choppy transitions

Filming day

Yes, we finally did it! My group member and I have finally finished to filming process. We were originally supposed to film yesterday after school but due to a storm that has passed by we were unable to. School has been closed for 2 days because of flooding and this has prevented my partner and I from meeting up afterwards. Although, since school was closed I decided to take advantage of this and film in the morning. I went to my partners house to start the plot of our film. In the first scene it showed me meeting my roomate explaining how I want a dog. My group member decides to rebuttal this decision but ends up caving in. I was able to use my partners dog to show this. Serveral of the scenes were filmed in the backyard. My partner and I recorded multiple conversations of us having pertaining to the dog. We were also able to take advantage of props and obstacles in this film as well. Ive noticed since my partner Sean has a pool, I can have the dog jump into the pool and cause a

Change of Plans

Image
There has been a change of plans in the schedule. While my partner and I analyzed the dates the blogs and movie was due we made some rearrangements. My group and I work on a tight schedule so fitting in the film is a difficult task. Originally we were supposed to film already. This blog would've went over what activities and strategies we did while filming. Otherwise, it would have been a behind the scenes when shot. The reason for the delay is due to recent work and tests my group member and I were scheduled to. I have a test today for another class that I've been repeatedly studying for. This test has created a blockade from using my extra time out of school to film. The time I used after school I invested into studying for this test. Although, after I complete this test I should be free of after school activities. My partner was also occupied during this time. Other than tests, my partner was busy with personal stuff. This made it where afterschool we both was constantly

Final Preparations

Lets get prepped for the filming process! My group partner and I are ready to start filming this movie and we are excited to do so. If everything goes well, my next blog should talk about how the process before, during, and after the filming process went. Before we begin filming it's a must for me to make sure that we have all the materials required. Materials would consist of additional props that may be used in the movie. Some props we have considered to use was multiple variety of dog toys or anything along the lines resembling the dog. Leashes may also be used to show the actor walking the dog, thus enjoying time together. Addtionally, form of transportation is important. No transportation means that we will have to completely revaluate the plans and lcations for this project. Fortunately, my partner has a car and will be able to drive to the park, and I will be assured to have a ride as of now. After traveling to the park, my partner and I will go to the next location, his
