Production Blog: We are on a filming streak roll!!
Everyone, I did it again! That’s right, my team and I was able to meet up and finish filming. My plans went exactly how I expected them to go. We were all free of activities and school on Monday meaning my brother was able to drop me off by Nandika’s house and start production. In my previous blog I mentioned how we already filmed almost half of the film. This consisted of the car and outdoor scenes, mainly being dialogue between the characters. This left us with more than enough time to film the rest of the film. I began the continuation of the scenes from inside of my teams house. I decided that it was best to use their entrance door, living room, and bedrooms for the settings. The lighting throughout the house is not significantly bright which made the fit for my thriller genre perfect. Lighting tends to be a little dismal and dramatic. The first scene was myself walking through the door abruptly attempting to locate where the mafia was. I ran throughout the house and entered the bedroom. This scene was absolutely perfect, although, it did take my team and I the most time to film. This was due to the intense dialogue, interactions, and multiple takes it took to perfect this clip. Both Ajayesh and Vjayesh, the mafia member, put their heavy Caribbean accent on and got to work. The clip following previewed a fight scene between the mafia and I. My filmer Kevin, got on top of the bed to get a high angle, close up, and panning shots for these scenes. I’m not going to spoil the rest of what happened for now. I will be sure to continue my journey of filming with you throughout my next blogs.
