 For my music video, my group and I have decided to do a Christmas song. We've decided to use the song, "All I Want For Christmas is You". This will put the viewers in the festive spirit and bring an abundance of joy. 

    -Actors in the music video was wearing costumes such as scarfs, jackets, earmuffs, and long sleeved jerseys. Others wear Santa suits. By doing so it reveals that is winter time and is the holidays. 

    -Props used in the in music video, were but not limited to, candy canes, lots of lights, trains, reefs, and many more. These were selectively used for this music video to show that it is near or is Christmas time.

    -Actors did actions such as walking around in the city displaying all the Christmas decorations, and dancing in a field of snow. 

    -This music video is very joyful, it is filled with many costumes and props that are all Christmas theme getting the viewers into the holiday spirit. By doing so it strives to make the viewer happy and excited. 


  In the music video all the props and costumed used like the candy canes, and Santa outfits are always angled towards to camera. This makes sure that the viewer knows that it is a Christmas music video and not otherwise. Candy canes were used in this video since it is traditionally a candy eaten during the holidays throughout the world, which helps identify the video for individuals watching. 

  The music video also includes pathos. By showing Santa and even other actors dancing or casually walking around, it gives a joyful appeal to the viewers since it is the holidays.

    Conventions used in this music video include the symbolic Christmas tree added with snow on top. The Christmas tree is an iconic part of the holiday spirit and the most looked upon. This sparks the media that it is the time to celebrate and what is near. Also being able to motivate some to put their Christmas tree up and join the festive spirit.

There is a Solution!

 It is currently Saturday. I woke up today with a text from my group member about what we're going to film. After the conversation concerning the parts about what is being filmed, I learned that my partner cannot film today either. My partner's schedule is very tight and relying on him is making it detrimental to me. Keeping in mind that this project is due very soon we still have not had anything filmed at this point. I am now getting anxious and frustrated about what my group and I are going to have to do now. My group members' tight schedule has truly made it a detriment to my time and future plans I had. Creative Critical Reflection

  1. My commercial challenges conventions by the opening of a panning shot. I have used the luminescent light coming from the school board sign for realistic lighting. My film represents the student class, establishing students attending to school use the product. The location displays the environment that this product can be used in. My actor has shown, pants, shirt, backpack, and shoes to portray this. By implementing this as well as having some dramatic shots, it makes the viewer want the apparel to use, targeting students mainly but not limited to.  2. My product engages with the audience by grabbing their attention with various detail zoom shots, to panning. Showing off the brand, it shows the many uses that it has. What’s the plan now?

    Nothing good comes easy. This is the quote keeping my motivation up. The reason I’m even thinking about this quote is because the filming dates are constantly being delayed. Unfortunately, not only does my group member and I have other work for classes but so we are busy in our daily lives. We are trying to come up with a solution so that we can accumulate together and film. We still need to look into a specific park to go to. Something along the lines next to our school or my partners house may work. It is important for it to be a spacious park so that the puppy can run around and play it’s part to act wild and free. The act of the dog being wild and free will irritate one of the characters, as mentioned in my script. This will be the introduction of the plot. My partner lives near the school.
