     Hey, I'm back for an update on my commercial! Today was supposed to be a filming day, but there were many interruptions. With my schedule being packed from events to schoolwork I had no other choice than to reschedule the filming date. Although not being able to film I went on and downloaded some editing software's. Doing so, I've learned how to navigate through and practice before I acquire my footage. I am trying to reach out to my actor to ask what day would work best for himself so that I can get prepared. Another issue is that there has been heavy rain for the past few days. Looking at the weather forecast, it appears that its going to be rainy for the next couple of days. Later on today, I am going to do schoolwork so that I can try to get it out of the way. Another interruption will be events that I have to attend to blockading me from filming. I have to attend to multiple family events in the same week and prepare beforehand, taking up majority of my time. These are all day events as well making my schedule more difficult to work with. Additionally, my actor is also on a tight schedule along with school and other activities. My actor has gave me details that during the weekend he will not be able to film due to school. I have decided that there is a possibility that we can film during one of the weekdays. If all goes well with weather and having an hour or two I can accomplish this. During the weekend I will do the best of my ability to get Adidas props and clothing for the commercial. I am planning to get trackpants, hoodie/jacket, and a backpack if obtainable. For now my goals are to finish up my work from my other classes and get props. When I achieve this I will be able to start the filming process.

There is a Solution!

 It is currently Saturday. I woke up today with a text from my group member about what we're going to film. After the conversation concerning the parts about what is being filmed, I learned that my partner cannot film today either. My partner's schedule is very tight and relying on him is making it detrimental to me. Keeping in mind that this project is due very soon we still have not had anything filmed at this point. I am now getting anxious and frustrated about what my group and I are going to have to do now. My group members' tight schedule has truly made it a detriment to my time and future plans I had. Finally, my group member and I decided to film by ourselves. After we both film whenever possible, I will edit all of the clips to make it one sequence to flow smoothly with the music video. Creative Critical Reflection

  1. My commercial challenges conventions by the opening of a panning shot. I have used the luminescent light coming from the school board sign for realistic lighting. My film represents the student class, establishing students attending to school use the product. The location displays the environment that this product can be used in. My actor has shown, pants, shirt, backpack, and shoes to portray this. By implementing this as well as having some dramatic shots, it makes the viewer want the apparel to use, targeting students mainly but not limited to.  2. My product engages with the audience by grabbing their attention with various detail zoom shots, to panning. Showing off the brand, it shows the many uses that it has. This can be distributed in the real media text as it is visually appealing. Nowadays people have a lower attention span making fast pace videos with intense shots more interesting.  3. What’s the plan now?

    Nothing good comes easy. This is the quote keeping my motivation up. The reason I’m even thinking about this quote is because the filming dates are constantly being delayed. Unfortunately, not only does my group member and I have other work for classes but so we are busy in our daily lives. We are trying to come up with a solution so that we can accumulate together and film. We still need to look into a specific park to go to. Something along the lines next to our school or my partners house may work. It is important for it to be a spacious park so that the puppy can run around and play it’s part to act wild and free. The act of the dog being wild and free will irritate one of the characters, as mentioned in my script. This will be the introduction of the plot. My partner lives near the school.
