Group
To start with this new film, I will have to determine if I am choosing to work in a group or not. For this movie I've decided that I will be working independently due to a many factors. Working alongside a partner can have its pros and cons. To list a few negatives, scheduling, and potential poor workman ship are ways in which this movie can fail. From my personal experience I have been able to identify these cons from working in a group. Scheduling as one of the most difficult tasks to perform in terms of trying to film. My partner and I had completely different schedules compared to each other thus there was little to no time to set up a date and film together. This created many difficulties for the both of us. For instance, in my music video I was forced to film by myself with the help of my brother being my camera man. Not only did I have to film by myself but I was also responsible for editing and publishing of the post. This put lots of stress upon me as the due date steadily approached. My partner was unable to participate in our music video and left all the work up to me. This created a frustrating environment for me as my schedule was also packed leaving me on a tight time frame. Giving my partner the benefit of the doubt and working with him again on a movie. We created the puppy problem but behind there scenes I found many implications within the making of this film. My partner sent me clips with low resolution and improper cropped size, thus meaning the clips were unusable. Once again, there was issues concerning scheduling to film, luckily we were able to set up a time and I drove to his house. I acted, filmed, edited, and published this film as well. With this unfortunate series of events of working with a group I have made the executive decision to try filming this movie by myself. Maybe in the future I change my mind, but nevertheless I still had fun and cannot wait to film my next movie.
