Its Finally Over!
Coming to the end of this music video I thoroughly enjoyed the filming process. Without the help of my brother being behind the camera, I would not have been able to film all of these scenes. My group partner has also filmed his scenes and sent them to me. Prior to him sending them to me he made sure to call me to confirm what scenes he should be recording and what I already did. After he sent me the videos I got right to editing. I realized that my group partner completely disregarded some of the things I said and did not film some of the scenes I asked. For instance, I would've liked to have him dancing in one of the scenes. Instead, there were just panning shots. I am still grateful although it shows that it is the holidays and gives me extra clips to edit. I decided to incorporate his 3 scenes containing B-roll, and panning left to right shots. His scenes acquired many decorations which create a holiday mood in the video. Putting his clips first and then transitioning to other scenes was definitely a task. Thankfully, the scenes my partner shot was in the day and I filmed during the night which makes the transitions not senseless. Transitioning to a panning-down shot of another actor I had to get next to a Christmas tree with the elf in hand, to begin with. After, my scenes were used. I smoothly incorporated from me walking into the door and ended it with me dancing. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit this music video. This was the same software I used to edit the commercial that I made meaning I am familiar with it. Although, it has been a while since I've last used the programs so exporting was hard to remember. Other than that, the editing process was fun and easy and I still cannot believe I am already done with this music video.
