  Props:

    Since I chose to do an Adidas commercial the main prop will be the shoes. Other props may include backpacks, track pants, and a loose-fit shirt. 

Apparel:

In my commercial, I will have a friend as the subject. The actor will wear Adidas-branded shoes and  backpack. Paired with track pants, and a dark-colored shirt. I will have the actor show off the brand by wearing it casually and or demonstrating it athletically by playing a sport or just simply running. If possible to obtain, the actor will also present the brand by having an Adidas water bottle branding.

Schedule:

On 10/20/22, I will conduct further research on the company's apparel and commercials.

On 10/22/22, I will establish and attain the props, apparel, further instructions for scheduling, and finding a location. If all does not go well, I will also formulate a backup plan.

On 10/24/22, I will create a storyboard for the scenes that will be enacted in the 30-second commercial.

On 10/27/22, I will start recording and gather all props, and my actor to begin. 

On 10/28/22 I will wrap up the commercial and do the finishing touches such as final editing. If needed re-record some shots.

Location List:

My main location will be a school. The actor will be recorded walking or running to school, showing off the backpack and or shoes. This will emphasize the need of having Adidas as a back-to-school go for children. In addition, I will film my actor playing a sport.

As a backup, I will use a basketball court or park. I will have my actor play basketball practicing by himself for training, demonstrating that the apparel is a necessity and helps. At the park, the actor will be running/jogging around focusing to improve cardio.

Backup Plan:

If the weather is not in my favor, I will have my actor be inside a gym, wearing the apparel. The actor will demonstrate cardio by going on the treadmill, or the stair climb. If there is a basketball area in the gym, there is a possibility to quickly film the actor playing. If my actor is not present, I will simply get another, or film myself.

There is a Solution!

 It is currently Saturday. I woke up today with a text from my group member about what we're going to film. After the conversation concerning the parts about what is being filmed, I learned that my partner cannot film today either. My partner's schedule is very tight and relying on him is making it detrimental to me. Keeping in mind that this project is due very soon we still have not had anything filmed at this point. I am now getting anxious and frustrated about what my group and I are going to have to do now. My group members' tight schedule has truly made it a detriment to my time and future plans I had. Finally, my group member and I decided to film by ourselves. After we both film whenever possible, I will edit all of the clips to make it one sequence to flow smoothly with the music video. Creative Critical Reflection

  1. My commercial challenges conventions by the opening of a panning shot. I have used the luminescent light coming from the school board sign for realistic lighting. My film represents the student class, establishing students attending to school use the product. The location displays the environment that this product can be used in. My actor has shown, pants, shirt, backpack, and shoes to portray this. By implementing this as well as having some dramatic shots, it makes the viewer want the apparel to use, targeting students mainly but not limited to.  2. My product engages with the audience by grabbing their attention with various detail zoom shots, to panning. Showing off the brand, it shows the many uses that it has. This can be distributed in the real media text as it is visually appealing. Nowadays people have a lower attention span making fast pace videos with intense shots more interesting.  3. What’s the plan now?

    Nothing good comes easy. This is the quote keeping my motivation up. The reason I’m even thinking about this quote is because the filming dates are constantly being delayed. Unfortunately, not only does my group member and I have other work for classes but so we are busy in our daily lives. We are trying to come up with a solution so that we can accumulate together and film. We still need to look into a specific park to go to. Something along the lines next to our school or my partners house may work. It is important for it to be a spacious park so that the puppy can run around and play it’s part to act wild and free. The act of the dog being wild and free will irritate one of the characters, as mentioned in my script. This will be the introduction of the plot. My partner lives near the school.
